Aces offense fluid in 99-75 win over Sparks

Las Vegas Aces’ guard Jackie Young led the way with 18 points to help lead her team to a dominant 99-75 win over the Los Angeles Sparks, 99-75.


The win sent the series between the Aces and the Sparks to 2-0 in favor of the Aces.


Las Vegas (12-4) will have a day off until they square off against the Sparks (6-9) on the road Friday, July 2.


The Aces sit at number one in the WNBA according to the regular season standings, ahead of the defending champion Seattle Storm.


Both teams have a record of 12-4


Aces’ A’ja Wilson recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds while center Liz Cambage also posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.


Fellow starter Riquna Williams added 14 points and eight rebounds.


Guard Kelsey Plum recorded 11 points, six rebounds, seven assists in 26 minutes coming off-the-bench.


Forward Dearica Hamby also came off-the-bench and tallied 13 points and seven rebounds in 23 minutes.


In other news, Las Vegas has the most players from one team competing in the 2021 WNBA All-Star Game.


The four All-Stars from the Aces roster consist of Wilson, Gray, Cambage and Hamby.


Wilson and Gray will be apart of Team USA while Cambage and Hamby will play for the WNBA All-Stars.


It will be the first of three exhibitions for the women's national team.
